Installed nextcloud through CPANEL and cannot save calendar event. Someone else has reported this, no answers were provided and someone closed the case so now we can’t comment.

I have, when trying to enable other stuff gotten the error “App ‘mail’ cannot be installed because appinfo file cannot be read.”
I’ll post the answer when I figure it out.

We found that if LOCATION data entered by customer was not a real location the application would say “failed to save event” rather than let customer know there was a problem with location. Try erasing everything in the location field, see if it will save and then edit the event to try different location settings until you get one to work.
PLEASE TURN OFF THIS FEATURE THAT CLOSES A TOPIC IF IT IS NOT RESPONDED TO AFTER 3 MONTHS… WHO CARES HOW LONG THEY ARE OPEN!!! I had to create this whole new topic because the other primary one that had this same exact question had absolutely no replies. I couldn’t add my comment and it might help other people.
