Build iOS app on XCode to test on my device

Hello, I’m willing to submit a PR for the iOS app. I use XCode 16. I would like to test my modifications on my own device. Project opens, dependencies load, but build fails with
Showing Recent Messages
/nextcloud-ios/Nextcloud.xcodeproj: No Account for Team “NKUJUXUJ3B”. Add a new account in Accounts settings or verify that your accounts have valid credentials.

  1. Do I need an Apple Developer Program account?
  2. Does it have to be registered somehow with existing groups related to NextCloud team in order for me to build and deploy my application on my device?
  3. What else am I missing?

Thanks tflidd. I tried hard without an Apple Developer Program membership but I could not go as far as deploying to my device. So I’m answering my own question here

  1. You need an Apple Developer account (free) to configure the app and build it
  2. I’m assuming that if I were developing on a regular basis I could ask to join one of these groups. What I did instead is subscribing to a paying Apple Developer account and tweaked the project settings to be able to deploy on my device an do tests

If you are speaking of the test groups, there are no conditions, you can just go there, follow the discussions. And you don’t have to be a regular contributor or something to ask question.
