Browser Cache must be deleted after update

Hi,

whenever we do an update of our nextcloud (major or minor update) a lot of users have problems (e.g. incomplete pages) that are solved by deleting the browser cache.

Can I somehow avoid this? Because I really don’t want to get a lot of emails after an update and explain everyone how to delete their browser cache.

I only had incomplete pages after the upgrade to Hub3, when the design changed, but certainly not with every minor update… So I’m not sure, what would cause such a behavior after every minor update. Maybe some issue on the affected clients…?

Write an email template with instructions and send them that.

Btw. In 2023, everyone using a computer should know how to clear the browser cache. it is basically the “reboot” of the web application age. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UT8RkSmN4k

Can you check whether js files like core-main.js have a “?v=123456789” Version string at the end?

If not, this could be the problem.
