Hi,
i want to use self-hosted screenly for the app Bookmarks. Does anyone use that? Any good HowTo for selfhosted?
Thx
Hi @Taste ,
There are two versions, The screenly (Can’t be self-hosted) and Screenly Anthias, formally known as Screenly OSE, which is fully open source and easily installed and set up on a Raspberry Pi.
I used the Screenly Anthias on Pi3 and Pi4, And You can follow my instructions "Setting Up Anthias on Raspberry Pi for Digital Signage "..
You can install it on a Raspberry Pi 2,3 or 4, and x86 support is ongoing in the experimental branch.
Since it’s open source, you can find the code and official documentation here at Screenly/Anthias. Let me know if you need any assistance with the installation or setup.
Hi,
and thanks for your reply. Thats what i found out too. I used a rent server from an isp for NC. A solution with Raspberry seems not the way to go. I hope i can install it as a webservice with my apache, php …, or at least as another virtual machine or if nothing else work as a docker container.
They support x86 hardware. It is listed there, with a release to docker in the last 4 days.
See https://github.com/Screenly/Anthias
I don’t use this, so won’t be available to provide further guidance. Good luck!
Ah yes thanks, I overlook this.
