I wanted to tes NC20. Upgraded from NC19.0.2 to NC20 beta with the built-in upgrader. Got through to starting the upgrade from the web-browser. After that, I get a white page. I do not know where to lock for an error log.
Installation on Ubuntu 18.0.4. Nginx. NC 19 was installed with the script by c.rieger.
restore your backup… and test NC20 in a VM, eg.
Have you checked the requierments?
NC20 does not work with PHP 7.2. for example. You need PHP 7.3.
You can look in your PHP log file, if you are using nginx I guess wherever the php fpm log is.
The nextcloud log is also available as a text file in the folder where the could data is/logs/nextcloud.log

No problem. This is not the production site, but I have only one pre-production site and need one working so went back to a working snapshot. But I will take a copy and use that.
I have php 7.3.19
you should also check the error.log from NGINX if Nextcloud doesn’t “start” and therefore doesn’t output the error in your data/nextcloud.log

Found the nextcloud.log
The last two lines in the nextcloud.log below. My impression no explanation there. It seems the update was OK and then I get the conventional log for the mail classifier.

The upgrade did not work. For the interested I can give more information if I can be guided where to look.
When you think its support relative, report it here. But when you think its a software issue you can create a new issue for the devs.
The download servers have been slow for more than 5 days and break upgrades. You have to restore from backups and wait until things are resolved.
The explanation for the blank page was that NC opened in the empty Dashboard after the upgrade. After disabling the Dashboard everything was OK. After reenabling the Dashboard and re in logging I once again get a blank page. I found my avatar in the upper right corner and through that I could regain access to the menu list. But I do not find any way to configure the Dashboard.

Same issue here with NC 20 beta. Nextcloud linuxserver.io Docker on UnRaid.
I also have installed carnet app. So I have this icon on the left and my avatar on the right. Nothing else.
