Hello all !
I am looking for a smart way to store ebooks for years. I recently entered the Proxmox world (local virtualization), which opened a wide array of new solutions.
I have tons of ebooks (mainly .pdfs) stored in a tree structure directory (root, directories, sub-directories and sub-sub …).
I would like to store the files in a free local cloud server (using proxmox) to be able to browse the files from home network as well as outside, safely. Other tools are not needed (forums teamwork …).
The goal is to enter the cloud, browse the directories and see each file’s thumb as well as his filename of course. File is selected and opened with third party Android/Windows viewer (if not included in the solution). A search module would be also helpful.
I spent time looking for specially designed ebooks library tools. Some are very nice but none does provide the tree structure i need to use.
I read Nextcloud may be THE solution. I am a bit lost between the releases (snap, turnkey … and the need of tree structure as well as a buletproof thumb visualisation).
So, i drop the request hoping some of you can help me : What is the best, and most reliable (thumb generating pdfs) solution to achieve this goal please ?
Thanks !!
PS : please excuse my lack in english writing and very basic Nextcloud knowledge.
