Following my clean install of v35 to address a failed Docker update, I was hoping to install a backup utility to simplify the process. However the current apps in the ‘store’ are not presently compatible. However, I found this in Github. Just looking for feedback from the community here to see if it’s safe.
can’t tell if it’s safe or not.
I just can see that it’s been a year with no more development. so most prolly you could be on your own in case of problems.
But hey, why not installing Nextcloud AIO (all in one)… it’s dockerized, it’s offically Nextcloud maintained and pretty easy to install/use. Plus: you can enable a backup-function there.
Had trouble getting AIO to work properly on my NAS (Ugreen DXP4800) so I went with what I was able to get running. Interesting that the backup in AIO doesn’t work with the present v35 stable distribution. I’d refer something integrated right into NC, but looks like a manual backup will have to do until that becomes available.
ETA: Running NC in Docker, and updated the container directly to 35 which broke the whole installation, hence the re-install from scratch.
