Auto-upload app data

I’d like to auto-upload data from a certain Android ap that resides in Android/data/<app-identifier>. Unfortunately the Nextcloud app does not see anything in Android/data. Simple File Manager (from simplemobiletools.com) can see the contents after I grant it the permission. I can’t grant the permission to the Nextcloud app because it simply does not ask for it.

Is there a solution for this?

Right now I ran into the same problem. On Android10, the nextcloud client only asks for rights of media-files. On a previous Android version I was able to tell nextcloud client to auto-upload files produced by my tracking app. Now that is no more possible.
Could anyone help?
