Version 1.6 nextcloud_for_filelink did not work either.
If you need some extra information, you can request it, I will cooperate in what they need to solve the problem.

I don’t think “remote.php/webdav/” is necessary in the server URL. I’m not sure that is your problem though, but at least I don’t have it in my settings, and my file link for Nextcloud is working.

Earlier I have had problems with (wrong) saved credentials in Thunderbird though. Try deleting any saved credentials for 10.5.1.200/nextcloud/ in you Thunderbird preferences (Security tab > Saved Passwords) and save the settings again to re-open the password prompt.

After attempting to add Nextcloud, the lightning-5.4-sm + tb-windows.xpi add-in is corrupted. When trying to add a new storage service there is no option available to add.
I have to delete the profile folder to get the add-in to be restored.

I had the same issue.
Check your Nextcloud configuration in the “Sharing” section of the admin page of your Nextcloud installation. The option “Allow users to share via link” must be enabled. “Enforce password protection” may be enabled. If so, you have to enter exactly this password in the plugin configuration (“Password for uploaded files”).
If you disable “Enforce password protection” in the Nextcloud configuration, you have to leave the option blank in the plugin configuration.
If you do not want to delete and recreate your Plugin configuration, you can set (and check) the values in about:config.

I put the password as you indicate, without quotes, with quotes and with the parentisis in addition and nothing, it keeps giving error.

My issue reappeared. No configuration changes, just a day later on Thunderbird/Ubuntu and Thunderbird portable/Windows 7.
