I have reinstalled Nextcloud on my Google Pixel 8 pro. But logging on os not possible as the app now says there is no browser available. I have deleted cache and data on the app. Abny advice ?
Chrone is the standard on the phone
What is the exact error message? Perhaps you can provide a screenshot too?
And where did you install the app from (there are several editions/versions)?
Also, why the reinstall? (In case it’s related).
I solved the problem temporarily switching to edge as phone browser, got the idea from the other answer
I have the same problem.
The error message shown is (German): “Es ist kein Browser verfügbar, um diesen Link zu öffnen”.
The entered link is valid - I can use it in any browser to access the nextcloud web interface.
Unfortunately, switching the default browser to any other browser as suggested by Slask73 (Firefox, Chrome, Samsung Internet, Edge) did not help.
I cannot use the app because of this.
Are you using Work Profiles perhaps?
Not sure what “work profiles” are, but I do not have multiple profiles set up, only one private account.
I got a new Android mobile phone (Samsung S25) and just wanted to set up the nextcloud android client to access my personal files in a Ionos-managed nextcloud. The app is working fine on my old mobile phone, but I set it up months ago and the client was probably updated in the meantime an there was no need to access a browser from within the app I think.
Btw. I get the same error in the nextcloud Notes app.
It looks like the apps cannot activate or identify the system’s browser app.
