Android Cookbook app gives "Zertifikatsfehler" when logging in

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Try to connect from the Android Cookbook app to nextcloud server. The error “Zertifikatsfehler” is displayed on the Android device.

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:

I can use the Android Nextcloud app as well as the Notes app without any issues from the same device. Stored data and cache of the Cookbook app have been cleared.
I do not see any way to further analyze this therefore thankful for hints.

What does https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ give as a result? (C, B, A, A+ etc)

Thank you for pointing me into that direction. The certificate expired a few days ago and the automated renewal did not work due to a new router where port 80 was “not as open as I thought it was”.
