AIO Pi-Hole service stuck on 'starting'. Admin unreachable

  • Nextcloud AIO v10.5.0 ( Hub 9 30.0.5)
  • Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS in local network

My local NC AIO seems to be running fine, but I noticed that (suddenly?) the pi-hole interface was no longer reachable at http://192.168.x.x:8573/admin/

The AIO containers interface shows a yellow “(Starting)” status for the pi-hole community container.

Restarting the containers did not fix it. Restarting the OS did not fix it.

Note: pi-hole itself, seems to be running fine but I cannot reach the Web Admin interface…

Looking in the logs I see no strange things.

lighttpd is disabled, new pihole webserver implemented… could be your cause?

Hi, can you please create a new discussion for this here so that we can track this and dont forget it? Thanks in advance!

@scubamuc @szaimen Indeed: my nextcloud-aio-pihole is v6.0…

This is, obviously, because nextcloud-aio-pihole uses pihole/pihole@latest!

I am unsure what to do at this moment because the community container seems broken? How do I get the new Webserver running?

Should I revert and re-build using a version <6.0, e.g. 2024.07.0?

Please first create a new discussion on github like I mentioned above.

Done, see pi-hole `@latest` v6 breaks web interface · nextcloud/all-in-one · Discussion #6064 · GitHub

Thank you for your prompt replies!

Thanks!
