Advice on tablet's to enter data into a Nextcloud .XLSX document

Hello Forum,

I’m using the latest update of Nextcloud and I have installed Collabora as well to allow me to edit DOCX and XLSX documents in the Nextcloud webpage.

I have a usecase whereby our resource will need to walk around with a table to enter data into an XLSX document. Does anyone have advice as to the type of tablet, size or OS I should look into using to give us the best experience? I don’t want something too small where it’s hard to see the spreadsheet and see the keyboard.

I was considering to use a Zebra Rugged Tablet like the following:

Zebra ET45 Rugged Tablet - 10" WUXGA - Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6375 Octa-core - 4 GB - 64 GB Storage - Android 11 - 5G - Dual-core (2 Core) 2.20 GHz + Hexa-core (6 Core) 1.80 GHz - 1920 x 1080 - Cellular Phone Capability - GPRS, EDGE, LTE - 5 Megapixel Front Camera

But I’m curious what the experience would be on a 10" tablet. Is this large enough for a person to walk around and enter data into a spreadsheet and see the keyboard on the screen? I don’t want the table to be too big and heavy but I also want to give a decent experience to the user who’s entering data.

Any advice you can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I think there is no general advice. it depends on kind of data and spreadsheet. If you have to enter 1-2-3 single digit/characters it would work on smartphone already.. adding multiple complex random strings would be hard even on 14" device.
