Adding a New Domain with Custom Interface to Nextcloud Server?

Hello Nextcloud Community,

I currently have a Nextcloud server set up with one domain, and I’m looking to expand by adding another domain to the server. However, I want the new domain to have a distinct interface separate from the existing one.

I’ve been exploring options but would appreciate some guidance on the best approach to achieve this. Specifically, I’m interested in:

  1. Adding a New Domain: What steps should I take to add a new domain to my existing Nextcloud server?
  2. Custom Interface: How can I customize the interface for the new domain? I want it to have a different look and feel compared to the original domain.

Any insights, tips, or resources on accomplishing these goals would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

There are apps that help you modify the theming:

this way, there are perhaps ways to achieve what you’d like to do.

Other option: put different setups in different virtual hosts. If needed, you can allow sharing via federated sharing between the instances and if one grows larger you can move it easily to a different host.
