Access Nextcloud with a domain

Hi

Since I’m having difficulties setting up a domain on my server I was wondering whether its possible to access Nextcloud’s web panel using sever IP instead of domain name?

Yes, if you setup a trusted domain in config/config.php like:
2 => ‘192.168.1.5’,

but a FQDN is always a better choice

You would be much better served in the long run by resolving your domain issue.

I need to buy and setup new domain first. Why is it better in the long run?

Having a valid and verifiable certificate on the server is much more important than many people realize. This can only be done practically with a valid domain.
