503 error after moving to v1.50.1

I’m in a similar situation to powerflo support request (1.5.0 / 24.0.5.1, auto-updated, fully working instance, then I applied the 1.5.0.1 docker which brought the 503 error and I got the MySQL error if trying to revert to 1.4.9).

I tried to restore my backup, which worked last time (after 1.5.0) but this time it didn’t: the ncp interface showed up but MySQL wasn’t running and I couldn’t bring it to work via the docker’s console.

After applying your new test image ncp started, albeit with a “HPB service down” error, but Nextcloud asked for an upgrade (it was on 24.0.3.2 after I tried to restore the backup today). I’ve updated internally to 2.5.0.1, HPB now runs.
Nextcloud doesn’t recognize any user at login, though.
This login issue happened after my first 1.5.0 manual update too, which I had solved restoring the backup.

I may try another backup restore, maybe doing so after upgrading to this test image could work?

Edit: I tried the 3142733511 image, same

I was finally able to recover a working installation using the same old backup. This was harsh.
Currently on a test ncp image and nc 24.0.3.2, everything works again.

Same here, “503 Service Unavailable”, and in the System Info: “Nextcloud check: Error” and HPB not running.

Did you update with the webUI or via ncp-config?

Check if you have a NextcloudPi backup, if you do you can restore it and get a working setup back in a few minutes, for me it worked twice; just be sure to secure your Nextcloud shared data beforehand, because it could be replaced with an empty directory if you just restore the ncp backup.

You can follow the steps I wrote in this answer.

Again, please make sure to copy/move your Nextcloud data somewhere safe BEFORE restoring your ncp backup.

From that thread, I copied these two commands:

sudo bash -c 'source /usr/local/etc/library.sh && clear_opcache' 
sudo service php8.1-fpm restart

Reboot, and now it looks I’m back to normal :slight_smile:
