28.0.2 Dark Theme Inconsistencies

I just completed the update to 28.0.2 and noticed that there are now some inconsistencies with the dark theme on the header and icons…

The “Good morning [USER]” on the Dashboard is now black, and therefore more difficult to read.

I also just ran into this issue.

With a black background those black icons become invisible.

The Welcome text is also black (Visible only because I’ve selected it).

EDIT
After playing with the Personal Settings, I’ve noticed the icons only go black if you select “Default Background”.
Choosing any other background, the icons change to white.

I’m having exactly the same problem after updating to 28.0.2.

Still not fixed in 28.0.3

Workaround as per this bug report:

if you make the background color a bit darker it will be white text
