A problem with talk and circles was found and fixed so we did a quick update, please test! 22.1.1RC1 should be on the download servers - get it from the beta channel or download on:

What about all the other bugs in 22.1.0.1? Are they fixed as well?

I am hoping a fix can be implemented for the problem of being unable to share boards in Deck (contacts lookup fails in sharing section of Details - the search progress wheel keeps spinning to no avail). Pretty hard to do project planning if the team can’t see the tasks and deadlines assigned to them…
The problem has already been resolved in the Circles app and will probably be included in this release.
Out of interest, why was the version released as 22.1.0 and not as 22.0.1 following the usual scheme?
“With this release, we adopt semantic versioning. 10 This will make it more clear what is contained in a release. As we introduce a minor feature, the multiple-email support, we therefor release this as 22.1.0, not 22.0.1.”

The 10 means endless bugs for me. Upgrade from 21 to 22 was a big mess. For me everything worked just fine before and with this release I have many issues. The RC1 did not change anything.
No one answering my post since 8 days as well.
I would expect at least an answer.
Release candidates are ‘test versions’, meaning bugs with it can be directly reported to the developers. If this bug existed before, make sure that it was reported to github and it is supposed to be solved with this release candidate. If it is supposed to solve the issue and it doesn’t for you, please report again to the bug tracker.
With my productive system, I’m a bit more careful. But this is especially because of apps that I use that they might not be ready directly at the release of the new version (mainly from developers from the community). A bit surprising that it were ‘official apps’ this time where they added some functions…

NC 22.1.1.2 was released. Security check says still not latest patch giving rate A as result.
That’s an issue with the security scanner not with the NC 22.1.1.2 release or your installation. There are multiple issues open on Github regarding this…

The final release of 22.1.1 is out now - get it on https://download.nextcloud.com/server/releases/ or wait for the updater.
tried it yesterday, sadly the circle migration had a issue and i needed to rollback: update to 22.1.1 error - ValueError: str_repeat(): Argument #2 ($times) must be greater than or equal to 0 · Issue #807 · nextcloud/circles · GitHub
maybe there is also a issue with activating/visability of apps: Talk app cant be seen in the upper menu after upgrade to 22.1.1 · Issue #28612 · nextcloud/server · GitHub (i had it too but could be because of the first issue)

Hmmm, and I see running the updater a 2nd time works? At least that’s not too hard as a work-around.
the second run had no fatal errors anymore but in my case it seems the migration of the existing circles was then not correct. in my case this workaround solved the issue: update to 22.1.1 error - ValueError: str_repeat(): Argument #2 ($times) must be greater than or equal to 0 · Issue #807 · nextcloud/circles · GitHub
