Nextcloud Passwords and 2FA

Hello,

When testing Nextcloud with the addon Passwords, I encounter the following problem.

When a user has activated 2FA with e.g. the Google or Microsoft Authenticator, the user can no longer login to the Passwords extension in Chrome or Firefox.

Chrome does not show any error messages at all. In Firefox I get a message like “Could not retreive password list - Wrong username and password”. Only when I disable 2FA I can log into the extension and see my passwords.

Is there a solution or workarround for this? 2FA is really a requirement.

In Nextcloud, go to Settings > Security > Devices & Sessions and generate a new device password. Then use that password to log in with the extension
