Nextcloud client crashes at startup on Windows 10

Support intro

After update Nextcloud client from version 2.6.5 to the newest 3.0.1 and after reboot, Nextcloud crashed every time after launch.
No error message.

Nextcloud client version (eg, 3.0.1): 3.0.1
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Windows 10
Nextcloud server : 18.0.8

I deleted all files in %appdata%\nextcloud
I installed again the version 3.x
Then i reconfigured all my syncs.
=> OK works

it seems that there is no migration between version 2 and version 3.


Same error here with client 3.0.1
I installed the latest 2.x.x client, 2.6.5, and deleted the Nextcloud-data in Appdata. It works with client 2.6.5


Exactly the same here:

Tried to delete AppData folder and downgrade from 3.0.1 to 2.6.5, but still can’t get the client to start.

Same error.
After reinstall Nextcloud 2.64 Windows Client same issue.
After removing the content in the Appsdata\Local\Nextcloud and Appsdata\Roaming\Nextcloud
the old version was able to start;

uninstall all nextcloud and delete (or move) %appdata%\netwcloud
install the lastest version

Deleting the AppData Folder doesn’t solve the issue with nextcloud version 3.0.1

Worked for me with version 3.0.1, but I had to delete Nextcloud AppData folders under Local AND Roaming, then reconfigure syncs.

Then, I reinstall 3.0.1 version, now it works after a reboot.

This helps me too. Version 3.x I wouldn’t recommend! It seems to be incompatible with the older versions.

Did the trick for me too ! Delete both folder and reconfigure syncs.
