As I understand it, a NextCloud administrator can transfer the ownership of files from one user to another, but the instructions are for how to transfer all files. Is there any way to transfer one specific file? Thanks!
That’s not really the intended purpose of that tool.
If sharing within NC isn’t an option, then an admin can move a single file from one user directory to another and run an occ scan to pick it up, though this isn’t ideal.
Thanks @JasonBayton. What do you mean by “sharing within NC”? Is there a way to simply share a folder and then change ownership in the user interface?
Unless there’s an app for it, which I can’t recall off the top of my head, the user would download and upload to claim ownership. Not ideal admittedly. I’m sure I saw an app for that.
