If that’s the policy here, I’ll keep to it. It’s just not what I’m used to in other projects, where discussion and issues tracker are separate - and this kind of redundancy is encouraged.
In any case, I’ll leave this up here, since the discussion will be easier to find and I expect others to have a similar problem to me with large databases.
Problem is solved. Details in the github issue. Short version: it seems to take quite long for the database update to complete. Mine took 5 days and uncounted restarts of the nextcloud-fixer script which seems to run into a timeout/forced restart before the database is fully converted and then the upgrade process restarts.
