Feature Request: Edit and Search for Metadata

To me these seem three important but different feature requests:

1. Easily search files metadata
2. Easily edit files metadata
3. Save files metadata in the file itself

About issue number 1 let me cite:

I think this is connected to this github issue: created by @oparoz. In both cases I select some files (either by searching or by filtering via tags) and then I want the possibility to apply the same operation (delete, share, …) on all the selected files.

To edit the metadata of the files could be one of the operations to apply on the selected files
