Feature: notify if a session is temporary due to missing keychain functionality

Continuing the discussion from Linux desktop client asking for confirmation every time:

It is not obvious to general users that their client is only logged on effectively session-only due to misconfigured of missing keychain in Linux.

This is for discussion on ways to help notify this fail case and potentially suggest actions for remedy.

Not sure if that’s really necessary. On all the major Linux distros, “normal” users switching from Windows usually have a compatible keychain pre-installed, and if you install the Nextcloud client from the distro repos, it will just work out of the box.

Then, of course, there are the “specialists” who customize and de-bloat their distro, or who use more minimalistic DEs or window managers, but those power users usually know exactly what they’re doing, don’t they?

But hey, I guess such a feature wouldn’t hurt either, so why not open a feature request on GitHub…?

In theory yes. Actually, to be honest I had my own issues with the client in stock ZorinOS, and was a smidge bewildered before I realized what was going on.

Just throwing some napkin logic here before I decide the worth of making an official request.
