Cron Jobs not running accoring to NC, after upgrade to NC30/ Hub9

I will check the rights this evening.

So, I gave the Owner execution rights, thought that helped, today, it says Cron not running for 2 days. Only via command, it runs

Which user is running the cron-job?

The owner, it a specially set up user.

Then check your logs, if the cronjob is really run. And if yes, try to log the output, perhaps it logs an error (even though it should be similar to what you do when you manually run the script on the shell as this user).

I updated on 8.11. to 30.0.2 and cron runs as it should, without any special settings

ich habe ein Update am 8.11. auf 30.0.2 gemacht und cron läuft wie er soll, ohne besondere Einstellungen

OK, now it’s getting weird.

Even though I started the cron yesterday at about 7 pm (so about20 hours ago), via CLI and the web-admin-page said, the job was running a few seconds ago, i now says “Some jobs have not been executed since vor 2 Tagen. Please consider increasing the execution frequency.”… again.

And, I checked this morning - because I changed the CLI-PHP max execution time to 3600 seconds, just to find the problem - and it said, too, that cron ran a few minutes ago.

How? Still on 2 of my instances. The same, strange “error”

And still, php occ setupchecks says:

Screenshot 2024-11-20 152840

(Cron ran 3 Minutes ago, without errors)

I will change the frequency to 1 minuten now, instead of 5. Let’s see if this helps…

Make sure that you have the maintenance window defined in your config/config.php:
https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/admin_manual/configuration_server/background_jobs_configuration.html#parameters

To run the cronjob every 5 minutes should be largely enough.

Both instances have it defined as =100

Edit: I changed the frequency to 3 minutes. And the strange phenomenon still is there. It seems that a few times the cron will be running smoothly, sometimes, the next day, the webinterrface tells me, Cron ran a few minutes ago. Some days it say more than a day or 2 since it ran

I also have the same problem under Plesk.

Two servers with AlmaLinux 8.10
Plesk 18.0.65
2x NextCloud 28 no problems.
1x NextCloud 29 no problems.
1x NextCloud 30 errors

The cronjobs are created directly via Plesk and work without errors.
Now I installed NextCloud 30.0.2 3 weeks ago.
After the installation, the cronjob ran. When I now looked in, the same error message described.
I tried everything possible in settings, unfortunately without success.

The only thing different about configuration is that the NC 30 runs on a subdomain.

Does anyone still have an idea?
