The blog post is relatively complete, I did however discover I had to install pip3 to get everything working. As with most things novice/linux related, nothing really comes easily. I’m just glad the guide was there to point in the right direction.
Are you sure? I discovered it by seeing entries in the log (syslog iirc). It was also showing up in:
systemctl list-timers
