The issue you are facing:
After updating manually to Nextcloud 21 (the auto updater didn’t detect an update) every time I try to sync a file I get the error shown in the pastebin link.
Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Y
Steps to replicate it:
- Update manually to Nextcloud 21
- Add a few files via sync
- Try to sync via the Android or Linux app
The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:
The output of your config.php file in
/path/to/nextcloud (make sure you remove any identifiable information!):
The output of your Apache/nginx/system log in
https://gist.github.com/Orangian/1877801fcde7d2cf2b7f05c3a096b767 (IP's have been blanked out)
Forgot to mention that this is on an external samba share running on the same server. Has worked fine up until now. It is also difficult to get any more info from the logs as they are being spammed with hundreds of new errors a second detailing the same error (on different files with different bytes) so it is difficult to copy anything.

Sorry, but your pastbin link doesn’t contain any error message. Please always insert error message in your posting and dont’ use pastbin, because otherwise the related data is being deleted after a while and no-one is able to understand the discussion anymore.
Sorry, just noticed that the logs of the other forum thread you posted are similar to mine. As to the pastebin link, I just opened it and the error contained is the following: Exception":“Error”,“Message”:"fread(): Icewind\SMB\Native\NativeReadStream::stream_read - read 45028 bytes more data than requested (53220 read, 8192 max) - excess data will be lost at /var/www/nextcloud/apps/files_external/3rdparty/icewind/streams
