Hello.
Probably I make a mistake because I have the same problem whith demo.nextcloud (https://demo.nextcloud.com/eic5aeda).

How can @davdroid fail on the demo server? Configuration issue on the demo server?

Peut-ĂȘtre doit on envisager que AndroĂŻd ne “veut” pas que nous utilisions autre chose que son propre cloud ! J’ai le mĂȘme soucis, j’ai tout d emĂȘme pu, une ou deux fois connecter davdroid mais le compte n’apparaissait pas dans les listes de compte ni agenda, ni contacts 
 d’oĂč macrainte que ce soit une volontĂ©e de G
gl.

On ne doit ĂȘtre que deux car, apparamment, tout le monde s’en fiche. En ce qui me concerne, j’ai du y passer des heures depuis plus d’un an et ça ne fonctionne toujours pas.

It’s all a bit strange. There are demo servers of different versions if you want to try some more:

If you find out that it works for NC 11 but not in NC 12, then please open a ticket on github. Or try one of the official server images, the problem with hosting packages, you don’t know the exact configuration and they have perhaps installed a very specific version

OVH shared hosting behaves really strange in many ways, not only with Nextcloud. So I actually switch recently. But the OVH davdroid issue is long known, see here: https://github.com/nextcloud/server/issues/223

The link above has an ugly workaround by disabling a Nextcloud security feature it seems, but I never tried that.

And now it works? So it’s really related with OVH hosting? In that case we (or davdroid) should document it

Yes, with my new shared host (netcup.de) it works. Also the web updater issues I had with OVH are gone.

Generally speaking I can’t complain about OVH, but their shared hosting isn’t fully compatible with Nextcloud.

En fait c’ets vicieux comme truc 
 LĂ  j’ai Ă  nouveau rĂ©ussi Ă  mes connecter avec carddav et le symbole de la synchro tourne. Un espoir a lui dans mon esprit ! Mais non toujours pas de compte dans la liste des comptes de contacts. J’avais supprimer tous les comptes, y compris le gmail. G se serait-il vexĂ© ?
Bon mais le pb ne vient donc vraiment pas de Nextcloud, ce qui m’aurait Ă©tonnĂ© en fait., mais bien de la config du tel ou d’une astuce de blocage de G.

I advise you :
Don’t use Mutualises servers of OVH, and co

Always create a VPS or dedicated server, you won’t have those kind of problems. I know you have to maintain the server but you won’t be affected by your neighbors taking the resources.

Un conseil n’utilisez pas de serveur mutualisĂ© d’OVH et consort.

Toujours prendre un VPS ou serveur dédié.
Okay il faut installer la distribution linux, les services et nextcloud
 mais vous avez vraiment la main sur tout ! Et pas ce genre de problùme.

Si vous voulez je vous ouvre un compte sur mon cloud et on regarde si davdroid se connecte bien.

I marked this as answer for the moment unless someone wants to get in touch with OVH and their server configuration to figure out the actual problem. It’s a well known issue that you are quickly limited by the missing control of these environments. Also if your setup increases and you need to update via terminal.

Merci de vos réponses.
Je ne pense pas qu’il faille incriminer OVH car :
1) sous Thunderbird; les apli Cardbook et Agenda fonctionnent bien dans les 2 sens (je retrouve sur NC les modifs faites en local sur Thunderbird Agenda)
2) Mes applications NC client fonctionnent sur mon smartphone dans les 2 sens : j’ai accùs à tous mes fichiers
3) Lorsque j’ai implĂ©mentĂ© Davdroid sur mon smartphone (sous MUI 7 et NC9 ou 10 Ă  l’époque) ça a fonctionnĂ© un bon moment.
Je peux toujours ajouter Ă  la main des contacts, dans les 2 sens, ce n’est pas trĂšs trĂšs gĂȘnant. Par compte, pour l’Agenda, cela est trĂšs pĂ©nalisant.

 i was referring to the intention of why you might have mentioned that. part about anglophones.

as a matter of fact i even didnt regard me, personally as being meant with that one. my french is just not good enough to write something but i did understand everything of what you wrote without any external help.

my intention on the other hand was just to keep the forum clean. because there indeed are ppl not being able to speak another foreign language other than english
 and the forum is mainly in english 
 there are ways to file threads somewhere else.

it wasn’t meant as an insult or something,. and after moving your thread into the new place i guess it should be ok. now. problem solved. at least the language-“problem” :wink:

Bonjour.
Pas d’avancĂ©e depuis plus d’un an. Je n’utilise pas l’agenda sur mon smartphone, hĂ©las.
Je suppose que cela provient du smartphone (Xiaomi MI5S Plus). Quelqu’un m’a conseillĂ© de le rĂ©-initualiser ( paramĂštres d’usine) mais je n’ose pas faire cette manip.
No progress for over a year. I do not use the calendar on my smartphone, alas.
I guess it comes from the smartphone (Xiaomi MI5S Plus). Someone advised me to reset it (factory settings) but I do not dare to do this.
