Windows sync client constantly "not responding"

Nextcloud version (eg, 12.0.2): 16.0.4.1
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 17.04): Ubuntu 18.04.3, Windows 10 Pro
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): 2.4.29
PHP version (eg, 7.1): 7.2.19

The issue you are facing:

Client freezes, grays out and shows “not responding” in title bar over and over

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Literally just let it start syncing
  2. Constantly becomes unresponsive
  3. ???
  4. Profit!

Can someone give me some tips as to how to troubleshoot what the Windows app is doing and why it seems to constantly choke its main thread to death? I don’t have any problems like this with the Mac or Linux clients. Thanks.

which client-version are you running, actually? on which windowssystem?

have you tried downgrading (the client, not windows)?

I’ve had same issue with Nextcloud’s sync clients 2.5.0 und 2.5.1. It seems that Qt has an issue with http/2 in this versions. Since I’ve disabled http/2 on my server and the freeze/not sync issue has gone.
