Windows client: Nextcloud 2.3.2 or Owncloud 2.3.3?

I have an issue with Nextcloud Windows client Version 2.3.2 (build 1).
Often is does not start at boot. This is observed on multiple PC’s.

My work-around is to use Windows + R shell:startup and add a shortcut.

So for this issue I was directed to https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues Owncloud for support.
My topic was directly closed, and I was directed to use the Owncloud 2.3.3 client.

My question: is it safe to use this client with my Nextcloud 12.0.3 server?

Yes it is compatible and should also be released for Nextcloud:

Currently the NC client only uses a different theme. A new client was announced for the release of NC 13 which will be probably released later this year. So at some point you might want to change back to the Nextcloud client. In the mean time you can use the 2.3.3 version of ownCloud.
