Why does my icon have a perpetual triangle with exclamation mark underneath it?

I’m running 4.0.1 on MacOS 26 and my menu bar icon always has a triangle with an exclamation mark inside of it.

I see nothing in the client logs. I see this on two different Macs.

Hi! Unfortunately, without any further information we cannot help to figure out why. Are you using classic sync or the file provider extension? What do you see in the activity history of the menu bar extra?

I’m using File Provider extension. Activity in the menu bar extra says All Synced.

I’ve gone back 4 months in the “All Activity” view on the website and there are no errors I can see.
