Where to put the files?

Hi,

I’ve installed nextCloud 11 on a shared server owned by an ISP. Everything worked fine, calendar and contacts synchronize as expected. As I had a lot of files to put on the server, I did it with rsync. It worked fine again. The files are in the directory nextcloud/data//files/. But I don’t see them under the “Files” menu. What did I wrong? Thanks for any hint.

Well, I dropped my naive rsync attempt and came back to the standard method.

It is useful to know that only the standard method works.
