Where is stored the background image and favicon?

Hi community,

Using my admin settings, I uploaded a new background image, but I can’t find where it is stored using my FTP. I tried for example /nextcloud/data/admin/files/Photos but nothing.
Same question for favicon…

It’s stored internally within your appdata_* folder. You would not normally access it directly on the filesystem however.

Maybe if you elaborate on your goal we can provide some ideas?

Well it is simple: I uploaded a background image in my backoffice/admin panel but I don’t have a copy of it on my laptop, so how to find it? Where is it stored amongs my NC folder that I self host? Thanks

Should be in DATADIRECTORY/appdata_INSTANCEID/theming/global/images I believe.

Thanks indeed, I found there favicon and background image!
However, that’s interesting because if I upload as a background image a file name “my-image.jpg” for example. I found it in the directory above mentioned as “background” without any extension and the file is renamed “background”. If I want to be able to see it, I have to add .jpg extension at the end…
