Situation:
Groupfolder ‘Classes’, members of group “team” see the folder.
User A (a member of group ‘team’) creates files and folders in “Classes”
What happens to those files User A created when she is no longer member of group “team”?
We need to keep the work, and also the User, just not in group team anymore…

That’s exactly how it works. Folders and files created by group members are owned by the group folder. This means that these folders/files remain even if a group member leaves the group.
Another advantage of group folders is that the storage quota of the individual users is not burdened because the group folder has its own storage quota.
