In my Implementation, I use Nextcloud mostly from the web interface.
I’d like to be able to send System Update announcements/notifications that display via the popup in the Notification “Bell” icon on the top menu or somewhere “active” within the web interface to get the user’s attention.
As of now, regular users seem to get no notification of an “Announcement”. In my tests, if I send an Announcement to all users/groups, their is no notification. The user doesn’t know an announcement was received. This means the user must go to the “Announcements” menu to view the message regularly or they’ll never know about the announcements.
This seems laborious since I’d have to email, text, or make a phone call to let them know that I sent an Administrative Announcement.
Is there a way I can make this happen now? If not, can someone please look into making it a reality.
