hey i was wondering if i can use nextcloud to watch movies the same time in sync with someone and also have the feature to text each other while watching. like netflix party thanks
I’m not aware of a feature to synchronize playback.
There is of course text/voice/video chat.

For the chat-component (spreed), the feature was requested here: Synchronized Video Playback · Issue #4658 · nextcloud/spreed · GitHub
The BigBlueButton-App has that feature, but if you want to play videos that are stored on Nextcloud, you need to follow the troubleshooting guide.
Just use any video chat where you can share your screen instead, e.g. the splendid https://meet.jit.si/ . EDIT: Apparently there is a Jitsi Nextcloud app as well
