Warm Raspberry Pi 4 with NCP

Hello,

I just installed a fresh installation of the current NCP version on a new Raspberry Pi 4B with 4 GB RAM. I am running NCP as a private cloud with only a few activated apps. It is meant to run 24/7.
I saw that the measurement of the temperature via /opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp always yields values between 48 and 53 degrees Celsius. I am using a FLIRC case for the Pi which gets quite warm, too. This implies to me that the case does its job.

Is there a way to decrease the temperature somehow? Can I stop some unnecessary background processes, maybe?

I think you are OK, range 48…53C for me is quite normal. My Pi 4B 4GB running NCP does not have a case, only two boards and the top one with a fan. Just checked and the temperature is 41C.
