Virtual folders enabled, client still sync full files

Hi Folks,

I have a local nextcloud server running on a server in my house, I have connected to it and enabled virtual drive, however it is still syncing files to a local folder (full files), am I missing something obvious here as I understood it wouldn’t save the entire contents of my remote nextcloud on my local pc? I was hoping that this would be a way of reducing local storage space but all it seems to be doing is duplicating whats on the nextcloud server? what am I missing?

I presume there is some logic e.g. remaining space on your local drive. I can confirm my client does not hydrate all the files.

Maybe you should double check you client settings:

try searching the forum and Github for “VFS”, “hydration”
