Nextcloud version _(eg, 20.0.5)_: 21.01 (snap)
Operating system and version _(eg, Ubuntu 20.04)_: Centos8
Apache or nginx version _(eg, Apache 2.4.25)_: snap std
PHP version _(eg, 7.4)_: snap std

The issue you are facing:
I like to connect a external storage via ftp and share it with a link path to some people.
It is loading very very slow (e.g. 5 to 7 mins to show the dir) even it is in the same LAN with GBit Ethernet.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? _(Y/N)_: Yes, I just set it up today like this (external storgae)

Steps to replicate it:

1. connect a ftp ext storage and share it with a link
2.
3.

The output of your Nextcloud log in **Admin \> Logging** :

```auto
PASTE HERE
```

The output of your config.php file in `/path/to/nextcloud` (make sure you remove any identifiable information!):

```auto
PASTE HERE
```

The output of your Apache/nginx/system log in `/var/log/ ____ `:

```auto
PASTE HERE
```
