Desktop AppImage app doesn’t seem to take into account HTTP_PROXY env var.
Is there any way to have it run behind a proxy?
Alternatively, are there any solution to sync files with nextcloud using CLI & cron ?

I could find a cli cmd, see Install nextcloudcmd — Nextcloud Client Manual 3.15.0 documentation
I’m out of luck since I’m on Ubuntu Focal (20.04.x ) though, it’s not supported anymore.
Even going back to NC client 3.13 which is the latest supporting Focal’s GLIBC version, I don’t see any way to install the NC cmd other than adding the PPA ppa:nextcloud-devs/client
, which in turn disaply an alert message saying that Focal is not supported.
In conclusion, there’s doesn’t seem to be a way to use the NC CLI on Focal, and if appImage for 3.13 is usable, it doesn’t support proxy, at least not listed in the doc and can’t find any ref. on the web.
→ I’m f**ed
Using the latest AppImage compatible with Ubuntu Focal (3.13 ), you can just put the Proxy infos here:
~/.config/Nextcloud/nextcloud.cfg
