If I migrate from owncloud to nextcloud is it possible to use the owncloud apps (moblie and desktop) to connect to the server or do I have to inform all clients to change after the migration?
You can use them just fine.
You should however move to Nextcloud clients as soon as possible because some of the features may not work properly.

Great to hear that, thank you! Yes, I will inform all the users to move to the new client but if it doesn’t need to be immediately it destresses me and makes my decission to migrate easy.
