Upgrading 25.0.10 but no new releases available?

Nextcloud version: 25.0.10
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Debian 11
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): 2.4.56-1~deb11u2
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 7.4

The issue you are facing:

I recently migrated from Owncloud to Nextcloud. Therefore I had to use an older version. Now everything is running fine and I want to upgrade to the latest version (somehow called Hub 4?).

But none of the upgrader tools offer this release. Do I have to download und unpack it to the directory?

root@nexcloud:/srv/www/nextcloud# sudo -u www-data php occ upgrade
Nextcloud is already latest version
root@nexcloud:/srv/www/nextcloud# sudo -u www-data php updater/updater.phar
Nextcloud Updater - version: v25.0.3-2-gd49ee0d

Current version is 25.0.10.

No update available.

Nothing to do.

Thanks!

Hi,

meanwhile trying to upgrade I tried the manual way with downloading the tar.bz2 file.

occ upgrade then said:

This version of Nextcloud requires at least PHP 8.0<br/>You are currently running 7.4.33. Please update your PHP version.

So I am first going to upgrade to Debian 12 and then Nextcloud.

Welcome Knebb, to Nextcloud - and I’m glad you figured it out! Yes, Nextcloud doesn’t just upgrade to a system that would not work

Good luck!

Hi,

yes, it worked meanwhile. I am meanwhile on the latest version.

Thanks!
