Update was successful ... Nextcloud is down

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 20.0.3 to 20.0.12
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): don’t now Webserver from my provider
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): same
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 8.0 (also tested 7.4, same Problem)

The issue you are facing: After the update, success has been stated out. I was allowed to click on go back to webinterface (or whatever the button was called), since then the page is loading for more than 16 minutes now

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): N. I had this issue with an earlier installation. I had to roll it back and installed a complete new Nextcloud instance after that.

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Login as Admin
  2. Update all Apps
  3. Update Nextcloud
  4. Wait
  5. Be happy about the successful upate
  6. Click on whatever-go-back-to-webinterface-
  7. Wait damn long

Output errors in nextcloud.log in /var/www/ or as admin user in top right menu, filtering for errors. Use a pastebin service if necessary.

Where do I find that in the installation?

Are all pages taking a long time or is it just the files app. For example if you go directly to:
/index.php/settings/admin/overview

Can you also check the nextcloud.log file in your data/ folder?

The same.
I see now, that the loading stops multiple times a second and rapidly starts again. You can see swapping x and reload button swapping in the tab.

No, nothing else. No webcalls were logged. Seems the update killed the whole php 8.0 instance for the whole server. The provider has deactivated my instance now and restartet the server. I need to upload the previous backup.
