Update to 24.0.7 not working on some NC instances without any error message

Hi i have two nextcloud instances which are installed and configured identically.

On one I was able top upgrade to 24.0.7 but on the other one the Web updates redirects when press the start button directly to the dashboard and using the cli updater command the update seems to work but no downloading etc is done and there fore no update has been performed.

Can you check the version in your config/config.php and in versions.php?

in config/config.php:
‘version’ => ‘24.0.6.1’,

in version.php:
$OC_Version = array(24,0,6,1);
$OC_VersionString = ‘24.0.6’;

What confuse me is that obviously no download is happening and I have no idea why.

You are sure it is not downloading? Or the zip file already exists and therefore is not downloaded. Checkout the updater folder (it might be in the apps folder). Delete the zip file if you find it and restart the updater if it downloads it properly then.

my updater folder is in /var/www/nextcloud/updater and it don’t contains anything else but the index.php and updater.phar.

There is no additional updater folder in the apps folder.

Is there a way to run the updater in verbose mode to see more details or generate a log file?

yes there it is. But looks like this update folder is an old one because the backup is for 24.0.2.1 and I am now on 24.0.6

As you can see in the logs update to 24.0.7 is performing but not successful.

Ok deleting the update folder in data dir was helpful. Now the update has been done successfully. Thanks
