Update to 22.2.2 via ncp failing with 'Command "upgrade" not defined'

I’ve just moved to ncp v1.44.4 and tried to upgrade NC to 22.2.2 fails with:

Upgrade...
Nextcloud is not installed - only a limited number of commands are available


Command "upgrade" is not defined.



Abort
Clean up...

What am I doing wrong?

You are not providing any information on what you did, so how can we tell if and what you might have done wrong?
Maybe just a glitch, happens sometimes, have you tried again?
Can try again using ‘sudo ncp-config’.
Can you share output of nc-info please? Or run 'sudo ncp-report" in terminal, use txt file or link to pastebin service, if want assistance.
