am having issue with my hostname been updated i change it to my own but it is still showing me Nextcloud hostname

  • IP: 178.236.253.120
  • HELO: bearingion.co.uk
  • rDNS: 3(NXDOMAIN).

Please someone should help me

Unfortunately I have a problem to understand your issue. Please use more than one sentence to

  • provide DETAILED information about your environment.
  • describe which software versions you are using.
  • decribe IN DETAIL how your setup looks like.
  • decribe IN DETAIL what you have already tested with which EXACT output.

I think the problem is not rDNS. I think you must configure in your CyberPanel the virtual host for mapping with your hostname bearingion.co.uk.

how can i do it in cyberpanel… please help me out. i chatted their support no response yet

Unfortunately, I can’t really help you as I don’t know CybePanel. The message has also changed since two days ago. At that time, the address pointed to a CyberPanel website. Now I get an error message “502”. The assignment of the name to the IP has not changed. So everything is ok there.

But somewhere in your CyberPort administration you have to manage a kind of virtual web server for your Nextcloud. There should be a mapping from the name to a previously created virtual web server, where you then install your Nextcloud. Maybe you can also just use a normal web server or a test page for testing. Post log files or a few screenshots to help us. Thank you.
