Update to Nextcloud 30.0.5 available. (channel: “stable”)
When updating to the version I get the following message:
fatal: userauth_pubkey: parse publickey packet: incomplete message [preauth]
An idea?

Unfortunately my NextCloud server hangs at “Downloading”. Try again tomorrow.
For major releases, they propose the upgrade not to all at the same time. For regular updates, this is not the case, so if you try a bit later, outside usual office hours etc. you can smooth out the process.
Can you elaborate where you’re seeing that error? That specific message looks more like an error message from sshd which the updater itself doesn’t have anything to do with.
I managed to download the file just now, but the integrety check failed
Tried again today Saturday 18/1 now. Now there is no update to 30.0.5. My server says it is up to date with 30.0.4. I will try again later.
Still happy with NextCloud. There are many issues the last months. Mainly the user interface is strange. It freezes on display of the error page. Also when entering the administrator page selecting Administrator setting may take up to a minute. Very strange.
I have updated yesterday, and it took some time. I just tried the download and it is very quick again.
If you have access via command line, you can run the updater from there:
sudo -u www-data php updater/updater.phar
It checks quite a lot of things, this can take time. Half a minute or so, wouldn’t surprise me and if it finds issues or cannot connect to something it might be a bit longer.
if you download with wget -c you at least get to keep what you already have and take a very little bit of load off the download-servers 
if it’s not a seriously critical update i usually wait a couple of days before updating my instances.

the error message appears on the console.
In the meantime, however, the update has gone through.
I will try the other instances at the weekend.
