I am trying to update from 20.0.2 to 20.0.4 using the updater
However, the update process fails: “Step 5 is currently in process. Please reload this page later.”
I know that this issue happens to many of us… I haven’t been able to find a consistent solution to this problem.
Any help ? Has anybody managed to go through the update process ?

I’ve never had a issue with updating with the occ command. Have been using it without fail since NC 16.
With the web updater the update fails every time, regardless of NC version or release.
You should be able to fix this by using sudo -u httpuserhere php ./occ upgrade

I have the same issue and no ssh access.
You can use the App “OCC Web”. Activate it, execute your commands and deactivate it once you are done!
