Support intro

Sorry to hear you’re facing problems :slightly_frowning_face:

help.nextcloud.com is for home/non-enterprise users. If you’re running a business, paid support can be accessed via portal.nextcloud.com where we can ensure your business keeps running smoothly.

In order to help you as quickly as possible, before clicking Create Topic please provide as much of the below as you can. Feel free to use a pastebin service for logs, otherwise either indent short log examples with four spaces:

Or for longer, use three backticks above and below the code snippet:

Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 21.0.1
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 20.04.1
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): apt is saying both apache and nginx need to be installed first while the snap install fixed the install and setup of the website
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 7.4.18 while 8.0.7 is the latest running on my ubuntu setup

The issue you are facing: somehow I cannot share externally. it keeps on saying that it is disabled/not allowed and I can’t seem to figure out what settings are set wrongly that are causing this.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): n

Steps to replicate it:

  1. installed next cloud a few months ago with the installation guide, but nextcloud is complaining that imagick is not installed while ubuntu says it is
php-imagick is already the newest version (3.4.4+php8.0+3.4.4-7+ubuntu20.04.1+deb.sury.org+1).
  1. couldn’t share
