Two Users do not see "Files" in browser, "the folder is not available..."; Mobile App works

Dear Forum,

your help would be greatly appreciated!
I already tried:
occ files:scan, removing and readding the users, php.ini memory_limit = 512M

Nextcloud version: 26.0.9
Operating system and version: Debian 11
Apache or nginx version: Apache 2.4.54-1~deb11u1
PHP version: 8.0

There are 2 users that do not see files when logged in from a browser. When logged in from a mobile, the files are visible. Other users than these two do not experience this issue.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? : it was also on NC 25.0.4, we recently updated

Steps to replicate it:

  1. one of the 2 users login in a browser
  2. they see message “the folder is not available, see logs or contact administrator”
  3. Recent files are available and can be opened

Thank you!

hi @KaBi17 welcome to the forum :handshake:

sounds like you need more memory for PHP for some reason… try raising memory limit (in my experience 1GB or 2GB makes Nextcloud run much better)

such issues usually relate to local issue like invalid browser cache - please test using browser “private/incognito” mode and if it works remove cache and temporary files of your Nextcloud website - likely this helps. I remember strange issues after version upgrades (some time ago maybe it was around nc25 and nc26)…
